12 Times Table

The 12 times table can seem very daunting to many students, as it involves the double digit number 12. Here is an easy way to remember the 12 times table and it has worked very well with one of my students.

The first step is to write out even numbers in ascending order starting from 2 in a column as shown here: (Once we reach 8, we will start again from 0)

The next step involve filling in the digits on the left of the even numbers, in ascending order starting with 1: (Do note that when we come to any 0, we need to skip a number; for example we will skip the number 5 and write 6 instead when we encountered the first 0, as shown here)

There we go, the 12 times table from 1 to 12. Have a go at it and have fun writing them out again and again and again. :)
